Requirements

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• 18 months experience in retail sales possessing technical knowledge of computers and electronics
• GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One year of responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.
• SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 18 months progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing the kind of duties which constitute the principal work of the position to be filled and possesses technical knowledge of computers and electronics i.e. computers cameras video and audio equipment stereo equipment TVs DVDs etc as it relates to quality similarities and differences.
• SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Study completed in a college university junior college technical school or other comparable institution above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience provided such subjects relating to computers home electronic sales and or repair photography etc. At any level specialized experience may be substituted for required general experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engages, connects and listens to customers by asking questions to determine customers’ needs.
• Directing customers to merchandise; informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card promotions all while providing premier customer service.
• Maintains store appearance.
• Using a Point-of-Sales system, processing cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards (cash handling) including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer.
