About The Position

The purpose of this position is to perform full scope Transaction Privilege and Use tax audits of businesses to determine compliance with the Model City Tax Code, State statutes, City Tax Code and the City’s business licensing ordinances benefiting the City with additional tax and license revenue beyond voluntarily reported by taxpayers. Also conducting related research within guidelines established by City and State requirements, providing taxpayer education and assistance in addition to being part of Education and outreach program. This position may also act as a project leader, and work closely with Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) and other agencies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years related experience. Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures.
  • Valid AZ Drivers License upon hire.
  • Able to complete Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) Audit Training within first 180 days of employment.
