About The Position

The Sales Support Department is responsible for supporting our Sales Teams and Agents by providing best in industry services across all our products and brands. A close partnership with our agents in the field and internal teams is critical to the success of APCO. The Sales Support Specialist will directly support a specific region of the Sales Team in addition to assisting with the functions of all other Sales Support team members. The specialist is focused on providing expedient and friendly resolution to all field inquiries via email, helpdesk and phone queue, applying high priority to those requests involving rating and/or client facing concerns and providing assistance to the field team with new dealer setup and maintenance and supporting their revenue goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ industry experience working in client support or operations.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Dedication to understanding and meeting customer needs both internal and external.
  • Must have strong skills in verbal and written communications.
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills within guidelines of company procedures and the ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of problems.
  • The ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards and to engage in productive work relationships with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Must have strong time management skills and the ability to organize and complete work within a given deadline following a systematic method of performing tasks.
  • Innovative thinking with ability to mobilize ideas into action.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and accept responsibility for their actions.
  • Requires the ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset and propose, design, and/or implement innovative solutions to increase the efficiency and compliance of the Sales Support department.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with sales representatives, proactively assisting them in identifying and securing new business opportunities as well as expediently responding to their inbound inquiries, facilitating requests with other internal departments, providing accurate and current rate cards upon request, assisting with securing all accurate and necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely fashion, aiding in the preparation for new client pitches including training and the development of materials and providing custom reporting as needed for all sales initiatives.
  • Actively participates in the pursuit, communication, training, facilitation, and development of materials needed for all new product launches with the Product Development team.
  • Engage in after-hour assistance and solutions to external clients to ensure continuation of service and ability to rate contracts as needed.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to all inbound and outgoing inquiries whether verbally or in written communications.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent file documentation.
  • Drive for superior customer experiences.
  • Establish positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide necessary support and resolution for any issues.
  • Maintain a depth of knowledge regarding facets of the business to include online systems, claims, financing, vehicle information, and becoming a subject matter expert in product knowledge.
  • Engage in special projects, process improvements and system enhancements as needed.
  • Assist with other tasks and/or provide back-up to Dealer Support Team as needed.
