About the position

The Sales Support Representative at Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by ensuring that customer orders are delivered, merchandised, and priced correctly. This position involves collaborating with sales leads, assisting customers with their needs, and building strong relationships with account personnel. The representative will also be responsible for maintaining displays, managing inventory, and reporting competitive activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales Lead/Inside Sales Representative to ensure proper delivery, merchandising, and pricing of orders.
• Assist customers with stocking shelves, resetting coolers, and creating displays for purchased products.
• Solidify strong customer relationships and understand areas where support is needed.
• Place prices and descriptive signs on products.
• Check account's on-hand inventory and submit replenishment orders to fill gaps.
• Prepare and maintain product displays.
• Accurately sort, label, and store goods.
• Maintain merchandising reports and survey accounts for merchandising opportunities.
• Report competitive activity and pricing to the immediate supervisor.
• Cover open sales territory as needed due to absence or vacation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of product and experience stocking shelves.
• Understanding of how to create product displays.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
• Industry certifications such as CSW, CSS, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or Sake Specialist.
