About The Position

A technology solutions company supporting both public and private sector clients is seeking a Sales Support / Business Development Representative to join its growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting the organization’s growth strategy through marketing, client engagement, and business development activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, or marketing support—preferably in a technology or professional services environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to work on sensitive government-related projects (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update company website content and social media platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support promotional activities including trade shows, conferences, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Manage participation in industry groups and professional associations.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
  • Lead targeted outreach initiatives for specific customer segments and technology domains.
  • Support business development activities across government and commercial markets.
  • Track new opportunities and assist in proposal development and capture planning.
  • Monitor budgets, metrics, and forecasts related to business development activities.
  • Maintain CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy and effective reporting.
  • Support partner and channel management efforts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, web, or phone.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with prospective and existing customers to maintain satisfaction and account health.
  • Track and manage service records, warranties, and customer data.
  • Assist with long-term relationship management and client retention strategies.
  • Provide administrative support for business development initiatives, meetings, and deliverables.
  • Prepare recurring reports and dashboards with accurate metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data protection and confidentiality standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Conduct business intelligence and market research on potential clients and industry trends.
  • Support workflow automation and process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
  • Develop an understanding of company products and solutions to effectively communicate value to customers and partners.
