About The Position

We are seeking a Sales Strategy & Operations Associate/Sr. Associate to support our Solutions Engineering (SE) team, with a primary focus on partnering closely with executive SE leadership. This is a highly visible role at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics, where you will help shape how our SE organization scales effectively in a fast-growth environment. The Solutions Engineering team is central to Verkada’s go-to-market motion, partnering with Account Executives to design customer-focused solutions, lead technical evaluations, and prove Verkada’s competitive advantages, building trust and accelerating revenue growth. The role requires a balance of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and operational execution to run the business and improve our processes as we quickly scale. We are looking for someone who not only brings strong problem-structuring and data skills, but who also has the drive to see recommendations through to implementation and measurable impact.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in business operations, sales operations, or strategy roles
  • Solid grounding in statistics and probability, with the ability to interpret data and run statistical tests (e.g., inference, causation vs. correlation, hypothesis testing)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate professional conflict
  • Strong problem structuring skills; able to break down complex, ambiguous problems into actionable solutions
  • Blend of technical and business background preferred (e.g., computer science + economics, data science + business)
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with ambiguity and pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency required
  • Exposure to Salesforce or business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Enable Leadership Impact: Provide SE leaders with analyses, insights, and operational support to drive high-value decisions
  • Drive Analytical Insight: Build dashboards, tools, and analyses that turn complex data into actionable recommendations
  • Support Incentives & Resource Planning: Align hiring, budgets, and incentive programs with organizational goals, ensuring clear communication
  • Run Core Operating Rhythms: coordinate planning cycles, budgets, and reporting structures to keep the organization running smoothly
  • Optimize Processes: Identify and implement improvements that reduce friction and increase SE effectiveness
