The Sales Specialist is expected to see the job through start to finish and will serve as the point person to the customer throughout the process. The Sales Specialist's scope will often include small contract work and sizeable replacement jobs as well. An experienced Sales Specialist is expected to meet sales goals in accordance with gross margins. Besides chasing down “incoming” leads to the branch, the Sales Specialist is expected to be able to make proactive sales calls on prospective customers as well. Binswanger Glass offers clients glass and glazier solutions that will help restore, transform and increase the beauty of their home or commercial property. We use our 150 years of experience in the industry to provide proficient project management, expert installation, and productive teamwork to assist clients with their needs. Originally founded in 1872, Binswanger Glass is headquartered in Memphis, TN and is the largest retailer and installer of Architectural Glass and aluminum products within the construction and residential markets in the United States.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills and problem solving are a prerequisite, along with product knowledge, basic math and mechanical skills, measuring, estimating, blueprint reading and computer skills.
  • Ability to see opportunity in up selling and take advantage of the opportunity.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assure Safety/Regulatory standards are met at all times.
  • Generate high volume sales in our core city service business segment. The sales will encompass both the residential and commercial markets, new construction and retrofit, and maintenance.
  • Engage the customer, determine their needs, layout and measure the job, provide any required estimates/pricing, close the sale, order and expedite materials, schedule and oversee the required labor to execute the job in a timely and productive fashion.
  • Perform all other related job functions.
