We supply just about everything besides plumbing and electrical to build homes. Our focus is on serving professional home builders. Along with providing materials, we install a wide range of products, including framing, overhead doors, insulation, gutters, siding, and more. We also manufacture some products, including trusses, cabinets, doors, and granite countertops. Along with competitive compensation, we offer competitive benefits that would be expected including medical/Rx, vision and dental insurance, 401(k), paid time off, holiday pay, disability & life insurance, etc. Primary Purpose: To drive revenue growth by delivering high-quality Gutter and Overhead Door solutions supported by expert product knowledge and trusted customer relationships. This role exists to maintain and grow the existing customer base while ensuring a seamless sales experience that reflects the company’s commitment to making building easy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or construction-related industries
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Solid negotiation and closing abilities
  • Problem solver with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, taking/reading measurements, basic understanding of blueprints, and construction terminology
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, quoting tools) and ability to use mobile apps
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities through outbound calls, site visits, referrals, and networking.
  • Build and foster friendly and professional relationships with customers, suppliers and fellow employee owners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and offering tailored solutions. Educate customers and assist them with their purchasing decisions, presenting value-engineered solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of gutter systems, overhead door types, materials, accessories and installation requirements. Educate customers on product features, warranties, maintenance needs, and long-term performance benefits.
  • Prepare and present accurate quotes and product recommendations.
  • Work closely with operations team to clearly communicate customer expectations, accurate measurements, scheduling, and job readiness. Follow up after installation to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a sales funnel and book of business to track leads, opportunities and sales activity for existing and potential customers. Regularly evaluate accounts to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products and services.
  • Understand the competition and develop strategies to better serve our customers.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, continuously improving at developing solutions to unexpected challenges. Stay positive and maintain focus even when things go off-track, displaying resilience and adaptability.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times to include during site visits and customer interactions.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, contributing to team success.
