About The Position

We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our team. This entry-level retail sales and customer service role is responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and supporting daily store operations.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced retail or counter sales environment. This position plays an important role in creating a positive customer experience while ensuring accurate cash handling and order processing.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• 1+ year retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to read/understand English
• Familiarity with inventory procedures preferred
• Friendly, energetic, and team-oriented
• Frequently required to stand and walk
• Frequently required to talk, see, and hear
• Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service
• Support counter sales and build customer relationships
• Answer product questions and maintain working product knowledge
• Process purchases, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions; balance cash drawer
• Use NetSuite for order entry and sales transactions
• Conduct outreach to existing and potential customers
• Assist customers in the yard and load materials
• Operate forklift on occasion (will train and certify)
• Examine materials to ensure quality standards
• Support receiving, watering, and maintaining nursery inventory during season
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
