As a Sales Specialist II within PNC's University Banking organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Additional locations within the Northeast Territory may be considered. Leads business development activities with new and existing clients to grow sales, revenue and market share. Interfaces with senior leadership levels within current and prospective client organizations to position the value of PNC and secure mutually beneficial partnership. May mentor, coach and onboard team members and serve as subject matter resource. Acquires, develops and maintains a pipeline of existing and prospective corporate, institutional or business clients through targeted business development activities. Develops and executes relationship management strategies for portfolio of existing client relationships. Manages larger, more complex relationships. Develops and executes client contact strategy in collaboration with appropriate line of business partners. Documents all customer opportunities and activity. Plans, organizes and schedules revenue-driving activities at external client locations. Anticipates, identifies and secures appropriate resources, including a more diverse pool as needed, to execute sales activities. Builds and maintains effective internal partner relationships to actively identify referral opportunities and facilitate the acquisition and expansion of client relationships. Secures access to targeted businesses to ensure desired business results. Requirements

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • Certifications are often desired.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Drive retail household growth within an assigned portfolio by leveraging strategic engagement and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Focus on contract schools to meet and exceed production expectations as outlined in organizational commitments.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with leadership teams within higher education divisions to foster collaboration and growth.
  • Identify and source engagement opportunities throughout the academic year to create impactful on-site experiences for retail branch teams.
  • Strategically identify and pursue prospects within targeted schools to maximize profitability and account acquisition.
  • Build and strengthen internal and external ecosystems by creating partnerships that support Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB), Organizational Financial Wellness (OFW), and retail teams.
  • Promote financial wellness by developing and delivering educational opportunities that empower youth to become financially savvy.
