About The Position

The HERE Business & Solution Architecture team enables customers to achieve their business objectives through the use of HERE products and services. A Sales Solutions Architect works closely with the HERE Sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle to gather requirements, design, validate, and help implement solutions that solve a variety of industry-specific location-related business problems. This role will primarily focus on supporting HERE Direct Sales teams in a diverse range of industries, including customers in the transportation and logistics, mobility and supply chain segments as well as the public sector. A Sales Solutions Architect identifies how HERE products & services can be integrated into the HERE customer offerings and then takes ownership of all pre-sales technical activities in order to win new business.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in sales engineering or other customer-facing role (pre or post-sales).
  • BS / MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or GIS.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and RESTful APIs.
  • Domain expertise with geospatial information systems (GIS) and location services, ideally with working knowledge of the ESRI suite of software.
  • Experience working with database technologies (traditional RDBMS or NoSQL).
  • Experience with data architectures, cloud services technologies.
  • Ability to interface at all levels in Product, Development, and Sales organizations; to manage up, down, and across effectively.
  • Working knowledge of SW development principles (including CI/CD, DevOps; customer requirements).
  • Excellent communication skills - from technical whiteboarding to executive presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing Location Services into enterprise applications.
  • Android / iOS mobile development.
  • Cloud Services certification - e.g. AWS Solutions Architect.

Responsibilities

  • Act as technical consultant to the customer and HERE Account Executives during presales activities.
  • Lead technical discovery by identifying & documenting customer requirements and objectives.
  • Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate the value and capabilities of HERE technologies - from demos to proof of concept to implementation.
  • Act as technical lead to design solutions based on the HERE Platform, Location Services, map content, and partner offerings.
  • Create and present solution architectures that represent end-to-end solutions for the customer.
  • Identify & mitigate solution delivery risks throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions using HERE technology components.
  • Represent the voice of the customer, including requirements & competitive insights, across HERE organizations to justify product development & investment decisions.
  • Partner with HERE teams to understand industry ecosystems and partner networks - to better inform solution options for our customers.
  • Engage with Business & Functional Groups to develop expertise across the HERE portfolio i.e., pricing, marketing, strategy, portfolio planning, research.
  • Understand & articulate problem statements for strategic & solution partners.
  • Keep up to date with technology trends of customers and competitors.
  • Create and contribute to solution briefs used as part of go-to-market sales efforts.
