About The Position

The Supervisor of Onsite Services leads a team of Onsite Sales Specialists in providing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) services to customers within the assigned geographic area. Partnering with the field sales management team, this role effectively utilizes, coaches and develops a best-in-class VMI program that maximizes customer satisfaction while enabling productivity and sales growth. This role will work from a home office and will travel to customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus at least 5 years of a sales or in-field service background and 3 years' field sales management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong motivator, leader, and problem solver.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and manage growth and order metric goals for the team.
  • Knowledge of products, pricing, Lawson programs, strategic accounts, and market competitors.
  • Ability to manage and adjust schedules.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach and train.
  • Knowledge of hiring, interviewing, and onboarding procedures.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • A vehicle, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain and maintain vehicular insurance as required by policy.
  • Significant travel is involved.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with field sales management to manage logistics (scheduling, routes, etc.) for all Onsite Service Specialists (OSS), focusing on customer experience, efficiency, and a results-driven approach.
  • Collaborates with field sales management and sales representatives to support scheduled and ad hoc needs on behalf of customers.
  • Oversees the daily activity of the assigned OSS team as measured against established objectives (e.g. specifically numbers of orders placed, customer visits, etc.), supporting the OSS to ensure goals are met.
  • Ensures utilization of CRM functionality.
  • Ensures the Sales Service team is effectively managing inventory levels at assigned customer locations and customers are consistently satisfied with the organization's products and services.
  • Maintains a uniform process for customer visits to put away orders, submit replenishment orders, maintain a clean and organized storage area, and meet with customers regarding questions and needs.
  • Assists /enables equipment installations - schedule times and resources, including parts washers and vending machines.
  • Coaches the Sales Service team, ensuring support and professional development through training to improve company and service process knowledge, product knowledge, and business acumen.
  • Assists in recruiting Sales Service team members in accordance with Lawson's Equal Employment Opportunity Policy. Ensures successful onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Leads, supervises, trains and mentors Sales Service team members, including workflow oversight, performance management, and timely processing of timecards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
