Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college, or equivalent.
  • At least ten years of experience as a rebar detailer or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least six years' experience with the Nucor detailing system (Rebar CAD) or other CAD based detailing system.
  • At least three years of experience as a supervisor of detailers.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical degree from an accredited school or college.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership consistent with Nucor's vision and values.
  • Lead post-sale functions across the division including detailing and project management.
  • Control financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Oversee efforts to ensure Nucor Rebar Fabrication fulfills contractual obligations on assigned projects.
  • Work closely with all departments to support and drive the commercial strategy.
  • Produce monthly forecasting reports to track post-sales targets and budgets.
  • Set objectives, provide coaching, and monitor performance of the post-sale team.
  • Assign detailing work to appropriate detailers for efficient execution.
  • Oversee productivity and work quality of detailers to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage assignment of detailing to outside vendors for high-quality results.
  • Review change orders for profitability and ensure customer approval and invoicing.
  • Review customer back-charges and coordinate with sales personnel for settlements.
  • Review and approve all invoices from vendors as required.
  • Manage performance appraisal process and recommend salary adjustments for detailing personnel.
  • Provide consulting services to other Nucor Rebar Fabrication locations.
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of new detailers.
  • Stay updated on technological developments in detailing methodology and equipment.
  • Produce reports as requested by management.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of CRSI and the Manual of Standard Practice.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
