About The Position

Albany International Corporation, a leading manufacturer of paper industry machine clothing has an immediate opening for a South Central U.S. Sales/Service Engineer to support our operations. The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of manufacturing or sales experience, new machine or rebuild experience, or equivalent professional industry experience to be able to manage, maintain, and grow machine clothing accounts. The individual needs to be self-motivated with a desire to sell, service, and manage Albany's business with the customer mills. Candidate is also required to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. The position will require the individual to work in a team environment selling and servicing engineered fabrics. The preferred candidate will demonstrate machine clothing sales and service ability, will support a wide range of manufacturing processes, and demonstrate the ability to participate in the leadership of the Albany team. The individual's primary focus will be sales/service support of mills in various Engineered Fabrics market segments, including but not limited to corrugators, fiberglass mat, wood panel, and nonwovens.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Textile, Paper Science or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in the paper or related industry as a Service/Sales Engineer or similar position.
  • Experience should include paper or related manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to evaluate and support paper or related manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable Service/Sales skills.
  • Demonstrable value documentation skills including the ability to document the impact of machine clothing on the mill process.
