About The Position

The Waste Pro Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving the growth of Waste Pro's revenues through effective prospecting, business development, and relationship management within a designated territory. This position is responsible for acquiring new contracts and extending existing ones for the collection, processing, transportation, and disposal of solid waste and recyclables. The Sales Representative employs consultative selling techniques to understand the economic and buying influences of potential clients, collaborating closely with the Sales Manager and other internal partners to meet client expectations and successfully close deals. In this role, the Sales Representative is expected to develop a strong customer base by actively engaging with prospective customers through phone calls and in-person visits. They are tasked with ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining direct communication and soliciting feedback. The representative will also drive the acquisition, retention, and renewal of contracts by fostering critical relationships with customers and other stakeholders influencing decision-making. Additionally, the Sales Representative must stay informed about the competition and leverage industry knowledge to prepare compelling proposals. They are accountable for developing bid and RFP packages in partnership with corporate sales and regional management, ensuring that all proposals meet the required specifications and are presented professionally. The role also involves participating in community events to promote Waste Pro's services and keeping management updated on sales activities that may impact the division or company.
