We are looking for a Standby Generator Sales Representative who is passionate about sustainability, driven by results, and experienced in sales. Position Overview As a Standby Generator Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business, conducting on-site assessments, delivering customized proposals, and guiding clients through the backup generator purchasing process. You will play a key role in expanding our residential and small commercial backup generator solutions across the region.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of proven in-person sales experience
  • In-depth knowledge of backup generator systems (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Comfortable conducting in-home consultations and site assessments
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Proficient with CRM platforms, Apple/iOS products (iPhones & iPads), and sales proposal tools
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and pass a background check

  • In-depth knowledge of backup generator systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new residential and small commercial backup generator sales from incoming leads
  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of backup generator systems
  • Visit customer locations, analyze needs, and build detailed proposals
  • Negotiate and close sales
  • Process orders and turn in complete documentation to office staff
  • Spend time managing displays at big box stores and taking leads
  • Follow up on older leads within the company CRM
  • Maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales
  • Report to the office and make outbound calls to set appointments
  • Maintain CRM records, track leads, and report progress to management
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
