About The Position

Goat Patch Brewing Co. is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Sales team. The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales and distribution goals, building and maintaining customer relationships, and promoting the brewery's brand and culture. This role involves managing accounts, coordinating sales and marketing efforts, planning events, and ensuring accurate reporting. Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and a passion for craft beer are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in beer sales or related fields (preferred).
  • Strong passion for craft beer and brewery knowledge (grain to glass) highly desired.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of the beer industry and market trends.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with restaurant managers, accounts, and the general public.
  • Business acumen with keen negotiating skills.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • High level of integrity, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work evening and weekend events.
  • Ability to lift 150 lbs.
  • Current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and proof of insurance.
  • Selected candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), criminal background check, and a pre-employment physical/ drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with on-premise and off-premise accounts, including both chain and independent businesses.
  • Develop rapport with assigned customers and promote goodwill for the company.
  • Serve as the brewery's Brand Ambassador, promoting a positive company culture and social responsibility.
  • Successfully promote, sell, and distribute products within assigned territory.
  • Create and launch creative sales and marketing programs across the territory.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product availability, and other issues as needed.
  • Execute effective accounts receivable collections in alignment with company credit policies.
  • Develop new accounts and increase placements of products in existing accounts.
  • Provide post-sale and ongoing customer support to address and resolve issues.
  • Participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and trade events to maintain product knowledge and market visibility.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed monthly goals related to business activities and performance metrics.
  • Conduct product tastings and demonstrations for customers
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Adhere to all company quality policies and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
