The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with customers, distributors, and key influencers in the agricultural industry within the assigned region. This role focuses on promoting crop protection products and services, while managing sales objectives, forecasting, and supply management. The ideal candidate will have extensive field and sales experience in the crop protection industry and be skilled at communicating with customers, product managers, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will act as the technical expert supporting the sales needs in their assigned territory. The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in agriculture and at least 3 years of field and sales experience in the crop protection industry. Candidates with experience working in cotton and rice and exposure to the following cropping systems are preferred – corn, peanuts, and soybeans. They will have a thorough understanding of the US crop protection industry. The successful candidate will show strong interpersonal skills and be equally skilled at communicating with fellow colleagues at the university and private level, product managers, salespeople and customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in translating detailed scientific information into practical decision-ready information for non-technical clients is required. Must be a self-starter able to take initiative and conduct themself in a professional manner with little direct supervision. The successful candidate will be a dedicated team player and thrive in the role of being the lead technical expert supporting the sales needs in their assigned territory.
