This position focuses on growing sales in a new territory and providing outstanding customer service to professionals in the exterior building products industry. Duties include but are not limited to; targeting, sourcing and developing relationships with roofing and gutter contractors, distributors, fabricators and home/commercial builders. The sales rep will provide material quotes, develop and track customer demand forecast, orders, and deliveries until completion; process special orders for products not available in the store, giving accurate and professional advice to customers, and updating customer information when needed. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations and attending networking events and trade shows, the sales representative must be both personable and professional .

Requirements

  • High School or AS's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years with construction materials and distributors
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to visit customers or Englert FSCs or events.
  • Able to lift at least 50-75 pounds.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle record and reliable transportation
  • Computer skills: able to work on laptop, video calls, fulfilling orders and quotes.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, codes for roofing solutions.
  • Initiative to work with little supervision.
  • An outgoing personality focused on customer service and problem-solving.
  • Analytic skills sufficient to support client proposals and business growth goals.
  • Proven track record of developing new accounts.
  • Acts with integrity and respect for others.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including editing, oversight or preparation of Sales reports, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to work effectively with various levels in the organization.
  • Ability to understand and manage high-profile, sensitive, or controversial customer complaints and situations.
  • Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment within general company policy guidelines.
  • Positive "can-do" approach to be able to facilitate decision making at all levels within an organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Capable of reading blueprints and developing material lists from plans is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations.
  • Maintain working relationships with existing and new clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to customers; maintains ongoing relationships with building contractors.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the geographic market and effective at sourcing new customers in the region.
  • Stays current on building material trends and building codes to support customers.
  • Become proficient with Englert products specification for roof and gutter system.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls.
  • Manage sales cycle to close new businesses and develop new opportunities.
  • Prepare concise and accurate reports, Request for Quotation (proposals), including package or any other relevant to the customer.
  • Ability to maintain track of Key Performance Indicators of the business.
  • Coordinate with other sales representatives to ensure that quotas are being met and company standards are being upheld.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
