Position Objective: Maximize Polyolefins division export sales. Generate new business based on company strategy and maximize business with existing customers. Be consistent with Formosa Corporate Strategy and Polyolefins Business Division focus and goals. Major Areas of Accountability: Strategic Sales Implementation: Establish and coordinate on strategies for growth and business/product development. Present feedback on market strategies, intelligence, and competition. Recommend market strategies and pricing to impact customer product and profitability mix. Coordinate as liaison to initiate, negotiate, facilitate business practices, such as prices, credit terms, and sales contracts; solicit sales orders and finalize/execute contracts. Sales Prospecting: Coordinate with marketing/business development to create, recommend, and implement sales strategic plans and tactics. Develop precontract plan, contact decision maker, and initiate the sales solicitation process. Customer Contacts and Relationships: Develop and sustain consistently high-quality customer relationships. Facilitate, collaborate, and coordinate internally to implement and reinforce customer expectations, commitments, and Formosa Brand. Marketing and Technical Support: Routinely research market intelligence on competitive dynamics and develop pricing, competitive sales, and marketing planning and actions. Coordinate with Technical Service for technical support to customers, including mediating and facilitating resolution on product quality complaints and product development. Sales Follow Up and Customer Service: Consistently, and in a timely manner, coordinate, facilitate, and mediate on price adjustments or payment discrepancies, on resolution of customer complaints and customer service issues. Non-prime Sales: Help deplete non-prime inventory based on marketing strategy for each month. REACH: Manage REACH compliance by customers to facilitate UK and European Union countries. Manage Mexico Terminal and Bonded Warehouse Inventory/Sales: Provide forecast and market intelligence for deployment, monitor inventory, and manage terminal/bonded warehouse inventory/sales timely at optimal value.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, MBA and/or chemical engineering preferred.
  • 3 - 7 years minimum experience in a job related field. Preferably related to petrochemicals
  • PC skills required: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook.
  • Must be an excellent communicator and skilled in English verbal comprehension and report writing skills.
  • Familiarity with plastics industry, technical processes, and terminology.
  • Ability to coordinate, facilitate, and mediate solutions to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read critically and comprehend economic information and publications related to the industry and market.
  • CRM experience.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Must perform all duties to the same standards while travelling as would be expected in the office.
  • Ability to handle average stress and multi-task.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • MBA and/or chemical engineering preferred.
  • Preferably related to petrochemicals
