ROLE OBJECTIVES Drive sales by promoting new and existing products and growing market share in assigned accounts. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, staff training, tastings, and timely follow-up. Plan and execute territory strategies, pre-planned sales calls, and account-specific objectives to maximize results. Maintain and update sales tools, route lists, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising displays to support sales efforts. Manage accounts receivable, monitor pricing, margins, and profitability, and use data to make informed decisions. Execute promotions and events to increase product adoption. Collaborate with team members and leadership, uphold professional conduct, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Maintain strong knowledge of products, categories, competitive conditions, and market trends, and translate insights into actionable plans to grow customer business. Effectively overcome objections, confidently ask for the sale, and submit accurate and timely orders. Conduct accurate inventories and recommend appropriate stock levels to meet customer and business needs. Open new accounts by completing and submitting required documentation in partnership with the Credit Department. Pre-plan sales activities, territory strategies, and account-specific objectives to achieve sales quotas and distribution goals. Comply with all federal, state, and company regulations governing the industry. Manage accounts receivable and collections in accordance with company standards, in collaboration with the Credit Department. Maintain and regularly update sales route lists, including buyer information, call schedules, and merchandising details. Maintain a complete and up-to-date sales and display kit, including pricing, sell sheets, samples, and point-of-sale materials. Complete and submit required reports and surveys accurately and on time. Maintain availability to work flexible hours, including overtime or on-call support, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Participate in internal Badger University training and development programs. Prepare for and support supplier market blitzes and sales visits. Deliver effective retailer sales presentations to achieve sales and merchandising objectives. Grow market share through execution of floor displays, ads, and point-of-sale materials in alignment with company standards. Manage shelf and cold box space to maximize visibility and comply with company merchandising standards. Recommend and maintain appropriate shelf pricing based on market conditions and company guidelines. Drive overall market share growth through consistent, high-quality execution at retail.
