As our Sales Representative – North Bay, you’ll be the face of our portfolio—building strong distributor partnerships, expanding our presence in key accounts, and driving strategic growth across the region. The Sales Representative – North Bay is responsible for growing sales and distribution within assigned North Bay territory including, San Francisco, Southern Marin, and Berkeley while maintaining the quality and integrity of Sonoma Craft brands. This role manages key on- and off-premises accounts, develops distributor relationships, drives new business opportunities—especially within chain accounts—and ensures successful execution of sales programs and brand standards. The position requires strong planning, communication, and presentation skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle that is registered and insured, a valid driver's license with clean driving record, and the ability to drive to and from accounts continuously

  • Regular travel within the territory (90%) and occasional travel outside the territory (10%)
  • Must be able to perform physical activities which include, but are not limited to, lifting, bending over, kneeling, twisting, climbing on ladders, stooping, crouching, and routinely lifting up to 50 lbs., and occasionally more
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each distributor that you work with is 100% compliant with the ABP and Contract
  • Distributor management to include achieving annual business goals in regard to distribution & volume, creating and managing budgets, assisting with distributor ordering and inventory and holding distributor meetings as required.
  • Aggressively pursuing new on and off-premises distribution and chains in assigned market
  • Actively call on all chains that you are responsible for- keep the shared grid updated on the sales drive with current activities.
  • Call on key accounts with the distributor to secure new distribution (including high-exposure local venues), making timely presentations and introducing our products on draft as well as package.
  • Execute monthly business meetings with key distributor staff, hold quarterly reviews and present consistently in GSM meetings to track progress.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with key accounts and distributor sales personnel.
  • Organize, lead, and assist distributors in executing chain programs and distribution drives.
  • Ensure that each distributor merchandising team understands and regularly executes our brand standards.
  • Train accounts as well as distributors on our products and provide retail education and training at the account level.
  • Travel to company sales meetings; participate in market blitzes in other territories and otherwise work with other members of the team to execute/achieve the sales plan.
  • Complete necessary reporting and communications on a timely basis daily and weekly.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen with an understanding and ownership of the markets.
  • Excite each potential consumer that you interact with to create brand recommenders.
  • Share wins company wide.
