About The Position

At ADT, the Sales team is central to their operations, focusing on selling security systems and providing peace of mind to customers. Sales professionals act as trusted advisors for family homes and small businesses. This specific role is for a Resale Sales Representative, which involves re-engaging and rebuilding trust with existing ADT customers rather than starting from scratch. These customers represent a strategic growth opportunity for ADT, and the representative will be responsible for re-introducing modern solutions tailored to their needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willing to travel within a designated territory using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; additional licensing may be needed based on location.
  • Comfortable using technology to stay organized, efficient, and accountable in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with an entrepreneurial mindset; thriving on uncovering new leads and closing deals that deliver real value.
  • Strong communicator and natural relationship builder, able to consult with customers, understand their needs, and guide them to the right solution.
  • Adaptable and flexible; excelling in dynamic environments and enjoying learning new systems and approaches.

Nice To Haves

  • Consumer sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Re-engage previous customers, not cold-calling strangers, to achieve shorter sales cycles, higher conversion rates, and build lasting relationships.
  • Provide personalized solutions that combine security, automation, and life safety features, tailored to the customer's space and lifestyle.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospects, highlighting the unique benefits and advantages of ADT's products and services over competitors.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-ups with customers to ensure commitments were met and to generate referrals.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities by identifying and generating new sales leads to maximize outreach.
