Responsibilities

  • Champion the Vulcan Way of Selling by implementing and enforcing all sales operational programs and policies.
  • Ensure servicing a customer base through sales, service, and collection of receivables to improve profits on the production and sales of construction aggregates.
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads to ensure maximum market penetration.
  • Work with the sales team to drive revenue and market share by developing and implementing a strategic market plan.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including trends in a territory, upcoming events, closings, follow-up, and customer feedback.
  • Grow and maintain all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, and customer service objectives.
  • Resolve customer issues relating to materials or trucking to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the sales team to develop a territory budget, create projections, analyze trends, and manage within parameters to ensure targeted profitability.
  • Represent the company with major contractors and government agencies involved in regulating or purchasing construction materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Sales experience with a track record of forward-thinking responsibility and successful sales is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form strong social relationships.
  • Possess persuasive selling skills and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with pricing and marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, etc.) and sales systems (MOBILESales, APEX quote-to-cash, and Sales Analytics).
