About The Position

As a Sales Representative at Sysco, you will be part of a dynamic and purpose-driven organization that is committed to supporting both its customers and its associates. This outside sales position is primarily responsible for promoting Sysco's extensive range of products and services while building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing accounts. Your main objective will be to help Sysco customers succeed, which in turn will allow you to achieve the sales and profit goals set by the company. This role may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the diverse needs of customers effectively. In this position, you will be tasked with developing new business opportunities, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within your assigned territory. You will seek and qualify prospects in alignment with the company's account stratification goals, ensuring that you are targeting the right customers for Sysco's offerings. Additionally, you will research customer business needs and develop a tailored mix of products and services to meet those needs, while also evaluating market trends to recommend appropriate products to customers. Your role will also involve staying informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings, which will enable you to provide valuable insights to your customers. You will be responsible for answering customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and usage, as well as providing practical training to customer personnel. Managing deliveries and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the order process will also be part of your responsibilities. Participation in company functions, promotions, and customer events will be expected, along with ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge. Administrative duties such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits, and preparing sales quotes will also be part of your daily tasks.
