About the position

The Sales Representative will manage an assigned territory, developing relationships with retailers and maximizing sales through effective territory management, selling, merchandising, and servicing. The role requires travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with customers, prepare sales reports, and execute promotional activities. The position is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and involves physical demands such as lifting and moving products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned territory by keeping abreast of business conditions and recognizing new opportunities within each account.
  • Develop trust and confidence of the retailer as a merchandising consultant.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
  • Prepare for each sales call by establishing customer history and credit information.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reporting to sales management.
  • Maximize sales results through effective planning and execution of objectives.
  • Make persuasive presentations and answer customer questions.
  • Display or demonstrate products and emphasize salable features.
  • Write orders, design displays, and organize on-site promotions.
  • Understand and apply in-store merchandising principles.
  • Influence retail accounts to use shelf management and display guidelines.
  • Ensure products are properly rotated, dusted, and stocked.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • One to two years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must have proof of auto insurance (SR-22 is not acceptable).
  • Own means of reliable transportation.
  • Prefer beverage sales and/or merchandising experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle competing priorities.

Benefits
