About the position

As a Software Relationship Manager (SRM), you will be responsible for prospecting and running Heartland Point of Sale presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle. You will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director. Your role includes explaining our value proposition, demonstrating our cloud-based Point of Sale solution, upselling current clients, and maintaining regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Close sales of business solutions with merchants throughout the area.
  • Work closely with the local District Manager to set appointments with business owners.
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Point of Sale solutions.
  • Prospect new clients.
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in the CRM system.
  • Achieve minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments.
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with the leader.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license necessary for regular driving to visit client sites.
  • Background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment.
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near 60th day of employment.
  • Ability to be in the field a minimum of 75% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry.
