About The Position

The Sales Representative for Recruitment is responsible for developing, servicing, and maintaining advertising accounts for the Post-Gazette and its online platform. This role focuses on generating new multimedia advertising revenue, making outbound calls to potential clients, and ensuring compliance with advertising specifications and deadlines. The position requires a strong understanding of recruitment advertising and the ability to build client relationships effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications highly preferred.
• Two to five years of outside sales experience or recruitment advertising sales experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and excellent presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and develop creative ideas.
• Superior customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Some typing skills and computer skills preferred.
• Possess ad layout or related skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, service, and maintain advertising accounts in the recruitment category.
• Make outbound calls to qualified sales leads to acquire new clients.
• Order advertisements and ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Write layout and artwork specifications for advertisements.
• Sell contracts for advertising and handle billing problems.
• Coordinate with support staff on ad copy and orders.
• Maintain required advertising lineage for the category as determined by the supervisor.
• File sales, mileage, and other reports as required by company records.
