About The Position

DuBois Chemicals is seeking a high-achieving Sales Representative for the Pulp and Paper sector in Virginia. This role focuses on growing and maintaining business within the region, leveraging a strong background in the paper industry. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a successful history in cold-calling and prospecting, responsible for promoting and selling the company's products and services to achieve revenue and margin targets while providing technical sales support.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in the pulp and paper industry.
• A bachelor's degree in paper engineering, chemical engineering, or similar is preferred.
• A background in sales to the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
• Ability to build and manage long-term business relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer consultation, negotiation, and problem resolution.
• Ability to learn DuBois technologies and utilize that knowledge to fulfill customer needs.
• Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to learn other business management tools.
• Experience or ability to learn lab test procedures to validate product performance.
• Ability to travel daily, with up to 50% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business by identifying customer needs and improvement opportunities.
• Manage key accounts with growth opportunities.
• Utilize DuBois' unique line of paper specialty chemical solutions to win new customers.
• Work in a team-selling environment with sales representatives, service representatives, technical specialists, and R&D scientists to meet customer goals.
• Effectively communicate customer needs and requirements to ensure coordinated team-selling efforts.
• Maintain a strong on-site customer presence at manufacturing sites.
