About The Position

The Sales Representative for OR Specialty Products at Cardinal Health is responsible for driving business growth by selling medical OR product lines, including custom kits, surgical gloves, gowns, drapes, masks, positioner products, and fluid management solutions. This role focuses on both acquiring new sales and expanding business within existing accounts in the Acute Care marketplace, specifically in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina. The position requires a solution-based sales approach and involves building relationships with clinicians and supply chain partners to meet and exceed sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Two years of documented outside sales success in a competitive environment
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • Documented history of exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to understand complex contracting and develop financial business cases
  • Strong computer acumen and business application skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel domestically and within the region, often involving overnight stays
  • Customer/Vendor credentialing is required

Responsibilities

  • Driving sales to achieve sales goals across assigned product categories within assigned geography
  • Collaborating with regionally aligned account executives to drive incremental revenue and achieve target sales goals
  • Identifying, qualifying, preparing, and executing effective sales strategies
  • Building consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners, and end users
  • Developing mastery of all products and sales applications
  • Presenting proposals, negotiating pricing, and differentiating product offerings
  • Completing conversions and in-servicing, including demonstrating product applications
  • Assisting customers with backorders and service issues
  • Utilizing and updating sales tools to manage territory and strategic business plans
  • Leading territory opportunity development and activities for accurate projections
  • Completing all administrative requirements in a timely manner
  • Maintaining and documenting required activity levels
  • Educating buyers and promoting Cardinal's products through various events
  • Demonstrating behaviors that enable effective product sales
  • Meeting vendor credentialing requirements
  • Maintaining knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape
  • Fostering productive relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Resolving customer complaints according to company policy
