About The Position

The Sales Representative/Merchandiser plays a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing product visibility in retail environments. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring that products are well-displayed and stocked according to company standards. The ultimate goal is to increase product sales and market share through effective merchandising strategies and customer engagement. The Sales Representative/Merchandiser will also analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. By collaborating with the sales team and providing feedback from the field, this role contributes significantly to the overall success of the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in sales or merchandising roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Familiarity with sales analytics tools and software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with retail clients to promote product sales.
  • Ensure that products are displayed effectively and are well-stocked in retail locations.
  • Organize, rotate and stock shelves during each store visit. Ensure all authorized items are tagged and in the appropriate location and set to shelf standards.
  • Remove items that are out-of-code or not selling per customer guidelines.
  • Develop strong relationships with key personnel at both customers’ store and regional levels.
  • Write customer orders using barcode scanner with Mobi software on mobile tablet.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement and inventory levels.
  • Investigate and resolve customer questions or complaints and provide courteous customer service.
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned territory on a regular and frequent basis.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide insights and feedback from the field.
  • Other duties as assigned.
