About The Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Sales Representative for our Mechanical Sales Team in Ontario. The sales territory covers Ottawa-Gatineau-Kingston. The successful candidate must reside within the territory and will be working remotely. The compensation for this position is between $78,200 and $97,700 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Job Summary The successful candidate will manage the sales activity for Mechanical Customers (Plumbing / HVAC / Industrial) in Ottawa-Gatineau-Kingston. This will include calling on IPEX distributors, mechanical / HVAC / industrial contractors, specifying engineers, developers, and inspectors

Requirements

  • University degree or College Diploma is an asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in sales and customer facing activities.
  • Excellent command of the English language – Bilingual in French & English is required.
  • Construction Industry experience is an asset.
  • Proven excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work independently with strong self-motivation skills.
  • Willingness to travel overnight 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Become a trusted advisor to all industry stakeholders by offering technical and overall market expertise.
  • Develop long-term relationships with distributors, contractors, & engineers and secure their commitment to our products.
  • Protect existing IPEX market as well as grow share by converting contractors & engineers from traditional metal piping systems to IPEX Mechanical Systems.
  • Promote IPEX products at industry trade shows, distributor training sessions, engineering lunch & learns, and contractor installation trainings.
  • Investigate and follow up on sales leads and potential new markets.
  • Collaborate with and support IPEX sales colleagues to achieve Team objectives.
  • Work closely with IPEX Customer Service, Innovation, Marketing, and Product Management.
  • Track sales activity in CRM, provide monthly market reports, and contribute to forecasting & market share exercises.
