Hours for this job are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5 pm and a Saturday rotation from 7:30 am until noon Starting wage is typically $50,000 base salary plus commission Responsible for account management within a defined territory and customer base. Maintains business relationship with customers, identifying their business needs and identifying solutions to meet their needs. Primarily focused on residential, commercial, governmental, and small ag equipment sales, but provides support and generates sales for all equipment lines as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Agri-Business or related field required.
  • Three plus years of sales experience in a related industry required.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to use a computer and current software programs required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides top notch customer service through proactive account management within an assigned territory as well as welcoming walk-in and over the phone customers at the dealership on assigned days at the store.
  • Acts as a strategic business partner to customers, being a trusted advisor when it comes to making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Conducts customer site visits on a routine basis to develop relationships. Knowledgeable in customer operations, identifying business needs, and continually deliver solutions to strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Actively seeks and manages equipment demonstrations to attract customer interest in equipment lines.
  • Generates sales opportunities through following a consistent sales process.
  • Documents significant customer contacts in the company’s CRM system.
  • Quickly follows-up on customer questions and pursues all opportunities through to an outcome.
  • Acts as an internal store contact for all internal whole goods inventory questions.
  • Acts as store contact for equipment rental, coordinating equipment pick-up and return, donated use of equipment, appropriate documentation and paperwork processing.
  • Expected to post inventory to online platforms and timely follow up of online leads.
  • Updates equipment and other displays in coordination with current marketing promotions.
  • Assures equipment on the showroom floor and yard are maintained in a clean, neat and safe manner.
  • Coordinates pre-delivery of all incoming new whole goods inventory.
  • Assures customer receives proper instruction, warranty information, operating manuals and anything else needed upon receipt of their equipment. May participate in the training of customers’ employees as needed.
  • Acts as a communication liaison on behalf of the customer to the dealership in getting questions and concerns addressed quickly. Acts with a high sense of urgency when communicating with customers, particularly if/when customer concerns arise.
  • Coordinates with others at the dealership to ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations. Actively works within a team culture to provide a positive whole dealership experience to the customer.
  • Remains up-to-date on product knowledge, incentives, programs, problem solutions, market trends through attending training, new product intro events, clinics, and other learning opportunities.
  • Maintains work area and vehicles (as assigned) in a clean, neat and safe manner.
  • Time worked is split between on-the-road and inside the dealership. Works a schedule that is conducive to meeting customer needs which may require overtime, limited evening/weekend hours, particularly in peak seasons.
  • Represents the Riesterer & Schnell and John Deere brands in a positive, professional manner at all times.
  • Presents a positive, professional image in dress and conduct at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.
