About The Position

The Sales Representative for Laboratory Supplies and Equipment at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for managing total territory sales of research products and services within a defined area, specifically targeting key accounts such as Yale University and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in the sciences.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Sales Force, and the internet.
  • Organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage total territory sales of research products and services within the defined territory.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end-users.
  • Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers.
  • Stay updated on competitor and industry activity and incorporate this information into the business plan.
  • Introduce new products and services to customers.
  • Collaborate with a teammate assigned to the same territory for effective sales strategies.
  • Manage pricing within the territory to control profitability.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for effective territory management.
  • Communicate customer issues or potential problems to the supervisor.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively at all times.
