While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role. At Medtronic, the Sales Representative I, Interventional Therapies solicits orders, selling Medtronic Interventional products and services (Balloon Kyphoplasty, OsteoCool Tumor Ablation and Emprint Microwave Ablation) and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned; for maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions and for reporting back promptly to the district manager. This position will work in tandem with an Interventional Therapy Consultant II and will have territory coverage responsibility and sales responsibility. This is a field based role. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Promotes and sells Medtronic's Interventional portfolio comprised of Balloon Kyphoplasty, OsteoCool Tumor Ablation and Emprint Microwave ablation products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. Perform other activities as they arise, as assigned by the sales leadership. Ensures personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work. Generates new sales: Develops leads, recruits new surgeons, qualifies prospects, and makes sales calls, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Interventional products and/or services. Grows existing Interventional business and develops new opportunities Works autonomously, utilizing corporate resources to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota Implements approved marketing strategies Aggressively seeks new customers and formulates and follow plans for such action as directed by the District Sales Manager Responds to customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and advise District Sales Manager and Medtronic promptly of any situation beyond scope of authority Stays attentive to competitor’s product and merchandizing practices and to keep the District Sales Manager informed concerning them Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including physicians. Maintains up-to-date customer record books and other records in accordance with District Sales Manager instructions Prepares and submits call reports as required by District Sales Manager Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed Assists in the field training of any sales person as requested by the District Sales Manager Organize meetings with physicians and other key opinion leaders in order to increase awareness of Medtronic's Interventional solutions.
