The Neuromodulation Operating Unit provides advanced therapies like spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and targeted drug delivery systems to restore function, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life globally. As a Sales Representative I, Deep Brain Stimulation, you will manage territory-based business and growth by initiating, supporting, and developing strategic implanting centers and assisting in building key referral networks. This role serves as the primary account/implanter relationship contact for customer needs within the assigned territory, including account-level reimbursement responsibility. It also involves coordinating support activities and developing sales partnerships with distribution alliances. This is a field-based position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years of experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years of experience
  • Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
  • Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, IPAD and PC
  • Required to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation
  • Required to attend national meetings, district meetings and other training as requested
  • Sit/stand/walk 6-8 hours per day
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Roles below the Principal level require candidates to possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment

Responsibilities

  • Sells implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
  • Sells the Value Proposition for Medtronic to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
  • Partners with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice
  • Provides product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at strategic management and analysis of sales trends
  • Utilizes appropriate Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth
  • Maintains a working knowledge of competitive products
  • Manages personal expenses and budget effectively
  • Ensures personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable
  • Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work
