What You'll Do: To actively promote, support, and sell TCC Materials lines of products focusing on hardscapes – walls and pavers, and precast in assigned regional market and beyond where necessary. Develop and maintain a profitable customer base, promote growth, service existing customers by providing daily market support and ensure customer satisfaction in assigned markets for TCC Materials products and services. Additionally, position responsibilities include providing recommendations to TCC Management in a combined effort to improve processes, increase sales, reduce costs, and maintain product quality standards. Provide support and educational product knowledge programs to facilitate the sales and marketing functions associated with existing product lines.

  • Routinely call on prospective and established customers.
  • Secure and renew orders, coordinate delivery dates and related selling details, solve customer problems and complaints in a timely manner, and determine a customer satisfaction level with company sales and distribution procedures.
  • Develop new accounts through core and emerging markets.
  • Support, maintain, and enhance commercial and retail distributor relationships in assigned market area, including special focus on the growth and development of new product lines.
  • Actively seek out and call on Contractors in your territory area.
  • Teach contractors about the company’s hardscape products and how to use them effectively. This often involves demonstrations, training sessions, and answering technical questions.
  • Show contractors where they can purchase the products. This means being familiar with distributor networks and ensuring contractors have easy access to supply.
  • Maintain regular communication with contractors to support their projects and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This is critical for customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Sell company products, ideas, and programs to industry shareholders including distributors, hardware stores, home centers, lumber yards, and contractors that are interested in carrying/utilizing TCC product lines.
  • Develop technical and application knowledge of product lines.
  • Conduct customer product knowledge clinics, train store personnel, and participate in trade shows, as requested.
  • Provide technical support and product application training to commercial and retail distributors.
  • Work closely with Corporate Management Team, production personnel and sales staff to ensure timely market introduction of new products and product modifications.
  • Actively pursue new business applications for successful product intro into market.
  • Promote TCC and its products by working with consulting engineers, DOT, architects, and other specifying agencies to support the markets and applications targeted in the planning process.
  • Participate in and effectively implement tools learned via company sales training programs.
  • Customer contact expectations includes a required minimum number of sales calls set by the Regional Manager. Additionally, joint calls with members of the Business Development team will be expected.
  • Work closely with the Plant Personnel to facilitate a timely and accurate order-fulfillment process.
  • Keep accurate and timely records and prepare/update required account contact documentation.
  • Utilize a CRM daily to log customer activity.
  • Attend and participate in industry trade associations to develop and strengthen relationships important to the sale of TCC product lines.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company.
  • Ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • As part of a successful team, work to offer solutions to coworkers and managers relating to challenges experienced in the sales process.
  • Demonstrate the ability to secure the annual price increases as established by management.
  • Successfully implement and communicate pricing policies to customers on-time and in a professional manner, while communicating customer feedback to management in a timely manner.
  • Enter new pricing on upload spreadsheet or into corporate accounting system to assist accounting staff with on-time implementation of price increases.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager and/or TCC Materials Management.
  • Must have strong communication ability, solid interpersonal/networking skills, and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Must be self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work successfully without close supervision.
  • Must be able to multi-task in an accurate and timely manner with superior time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Possess ability to effectively conceptualize, plan, and organize.
  • Evidence of leadership, high ethical standards, professionalism, and behaviors as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Knowledge/experience in the commercial and residential construction materials industry.
  • Experience with presentations and technical seminars.
  • Working knowledge of PC Window’s environment including Microsoft Word and Excel, computer literate with the ability to analyze and manage data.
  • Ability to write sales reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • College degree required, and/or 5-10 years of relevant experience preferred.
