About The Position

They offer products and services related to locks, doors, gates, and entrance automation, including access control systems, mechanical and digital locks, and security doors. The company services customers in healthcare, schools, universities, military, and commercial building settings, providing security and life-safety solutions along with essential support services like LEED consultation, code compliance, and technical support. This exciting opportunity on the ASSA ABLOY sales team involves calling on Facility Managers, Security Directors, IT Directors, and Construction and Planning Departments within end user accounts. The role also requires partnering with local selling partners such as wholesalers, integrators, locksmiths, and distributors to maximize impact with end user accounts. The ideal candidate is a sales professional capable of relationship and technical solution selling within the commercial construction, multi-family, and property management market segments to gain approval for Door Security Solutions product lines. The role is part of a fun, hardworking team dedicated to mutual success.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand specifications/facility standards, and have industry-related technical and sales aptitude.
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%) and meet to the requirements of customers.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
  • College/University degree or work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar.
  • Building material or construction-related experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software.

Responsibilities

  • Call on Facility Managers, Security Directors, IT Directors, and Construction and Planning Departments within an end user account.
  • Partner with local selling partners including wholesalers, integrators, locksmiths, and distributors to maximize positive impact with end user accounts.
  • Perform relationship and technical solution selling within the commercial construction, multi-family, and property management market segments to gain approval for the product lines represented by Door Security Solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of decision makers and influencers including locksmiths, facility managers, IT networking managers, and executives.
  • Develop short and long-term sales plans.
  • Identify and classify the sales potential of each client.
  • Establish a network of clients with a high level of trust, developing relationships quickly and easily.
  • Sell opening solutions as a consultant using a communication approach that can be effective with a diverse audience.
  • Apply discovery abilities including prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting solutions.
