About the position

The Sales Representative for ASSA ABLOY will be responsible for managing relationships within the contract hardware distribution channel, focusing on selling door opening solutions. This role requires a sales professional skilled in relationship and technical solution selling, with the goal of negotiating and closing profitable sales. The position involves collaboration with distributors to promote products, conduct training, and ensure compliance with ASSA ABLOY specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships in all areas of the distributor's organization.
  • Actively solicit, follow-up, and negotiate all quote opportunities.
  • Manage distributor buying programs.
  • Actively promote distributor promotions and programs to secure discretionary sales revenue.
  • Work closely with distributors to ensure that they quote ASSA ABLOY specifications.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled distributor business reviews.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct distributor product/solution training sessions.
  • Coordinate the resolution of product and field service issues.
  • Manage brand shelf space at distributor accounts.

Requirements

  • College/University degree in architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of industry-related experience in the door & hardware distribution channel and multi-line sales expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications/facility standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.
