About The Position

This is an outside sales position at Sysco Charlotte, LLC, responsible for promoting the company's products and services while building relationships with both new and existing accounts. The primary goal is to assist Sysco customers in achieving their success while meeting the sales and profit objectives set by the company. The role requires a proactive approach to developing new business, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory. The selected candidate will be part of a specialized sales training program and will have the opportunity to learn about different ethnic segments in the foodservice industry. The Sales Representative will engage in various activities, including seeking and qualifying prospects, researching customer business needs, and developing a tailored mix of products and services to meet those needs. Staying informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitors is crucial, as this information will be shared with customers as part of the value-added services provided. The role also involves answering customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and availability, as well as providing practical training to customer personnel. In addition to sales responsibilities, the position requires the representative to manage deliveries according to the routing schedule, troubleshoot any issues that arise during the order process, and participate in company functions and customer events. The Sales Representative will also be responsible for administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, and processing credits and pick-up requests. This position may require working non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet customer needs effectively.
