About The Position

Every team member plays a key role in creating meaningful experiences for families. Lava Island Sales Representatives are responsible for booking birthday parties and events. You’ll be the first voice families hear and the person who turns an inquiry into a confirmed celebration. This is a fast-paced role that blends customer experience with sales execution, and it’s ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, organized, and motivated by goals. Birthday parties are one of the most meaningful experiences we create at Lava Island. This role directly impacts revenue, guest experience, and the memories families take home. You’re not just booking parties—you’re helping parents plan a day their kids will remember forever.

Requirements

  • Strong communicator who is friendly, confident, and professional on the phone
  • Comfortable with a high volume of outreach and follow-up
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong execution and time management
  • Coachable, growth-minded, and motivated by goals and performance metrics
  • Tech capable and able to learn new systems quickly

  • 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, call center, or another customer-facing role is preferred
  • If you’re newer to sales, you must have a strong willingness to learn, be highly coachable, and be comfortable practicing scripts and receiving feedback
  • Comfortable asking for the booking, guiding customers to a decision, and handling common objections with confidence and warmth
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts (weekday and/or weekend availability based on park needs)
  • Reliable computer and internet connection, and comfortable working across multiple tabs/tools during calls

Responsibilities

  • Convert inbound party inquiries into booked events through phone and text follow-up
  • Guide parents through party options and help them choose the best fit for their child, group size, and preferred date
  • Confidently handle common questions and objections with warmth and clarity
  • Secure bookings by confirming details, collecting deposits, and ensuring families know what to expect
  • Keep accurate records in internal systems so every party is properly scheduled and confirmed
  • Provide a concierge-level experience where parents feel supported, informed, and taken care of
  • Track your outreach and outcomes so we can improve performance, follow-up, and conversion over time
  • Collaborate with the team to keep lead response times fast and customer communication consistent
