About The Position

The Category Strategy Analyst is a key part of the Shopper & Category Strategy Team, acting as a reporting analyst on business performance, assortment recommendations, and analytic tool development working across Sales and Marketing. This role supports our total Meals and Beverage division across Grocery, Omni, and Mass customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Ability to use syndicated data sources: IRi, Nielsen.
  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint; Tableau, Power BI experience a plus.
  • Experience with planogram software a plus, but not required.
  • 1 – 2 years of prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts business analysis of Meals and Beverage category sales performance using syndicated and loyalty data.
  • Provides insights on drivers of sales performance and implications to future sales projections.
  • Tracks business performance against metrics of distribution, shelving, and new item launches across business portfolio to share with Sales Leadership.
  • Supports Category Strategy, Senior Managers for Soup & Broth, Beverage & Baby, and Meals & Sauces in development of selling material content, sku priority list guidance, and planogram building for each fiscal year used by field sales teams.
  • Day to day support across Category Strategy Senior Managers solving business issues and analysis, as needed.
  • Works closely with Category Advantage, Senior Manager to develop analytic tools to support Category Strategy, Category Leadership, and Field Sales initiatives and content.
  • Assists the Senior Manager, Category Advantage with vendor partnerships and budget management.
  • Develop a productive working relationship with peers on other teams: Marketing, Sales Reporting, and Sales Strategy Teams.
  • Create an on-going relationship with vendor partners (IRi, Nielsen, Numerator, etc) as primary data providers for reporting.
  • Integrate loyalty data into sales performance analyses.
