About The Position

This position is responsible for building and maintaining a profitable account base while servicing existing accounts and customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of building materials
  • Demonstrated customer development and relationship skills
  • Mathematic ability
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • High energy with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a highly competitive environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the generation of sales opportunities for a diverse customer base utilizing all resources available, such as cold calling, lead generation lists, etc.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of products and end-use of products sold.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the position, including understanding all systems that support sales and service efforts.
  • Contribute to the enhancements, efficiencies, implementation, and use of systems that increase sales and service to our customers, suppliers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Keep management informed of the status of sales activities.
  • Purchase and track material from specified vendors.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with vendors.
  • Provide coverage when other traders are out of the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
