We are looking for a dynamic Chemical Sales Representative to join our team and help drive business growth within an assigned geographic territory. This role involves selling chemicals, ingredients, and services while building and maintaining relationships with commercial, industrial, and technical customers. Reporting to the District Manager, the Chemical Sales Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, demonstrating the competitive value of our products and services. As the face of our company, this individual will be instrumental in improving customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Marketing or other related science or field.
  • 1-3 years of B2B sales experience and/or training preferred.
  • CRM experience preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License Required.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong writing skills for reports and business correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to queries from managers and customers.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Problem-solving skills to manage diverse and non-standard situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use Office 365 applications

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, including commercial and industrial representatives, to promote and sell our products and services.
  • Analyze market trends to identify customer needs, potential sales volume, pricing, and discounts.
  • Implement sales strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Process customer orders, provide instructions, and maintain accurate records of sales and deliveries.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prepare order forms and sales contracts.
  • Keep regular customers informed about new products and services, address service complaints, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Set up product displays and promotional materials to boost sales.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales promotions to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Assist District Manager in growing operating profits.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve overall sales goals and company objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
