About The Position

To merchandise soy meal products and coordinate the administrative and logistical requirements. The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $109,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Hours of work: Generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. as scheduled by management with one hour for lunch. Overtime may be scheduled as needed and directed by management. Days of Work: Normally Monday - Friday as scheduled by management and weekends/holidays if needed and approved by management.

Requirements

BA or BS Degree (Preferably in an Animal Science or Animal Nutrition related field)
3 -5 years experience.
Knowledge of the soybean meal & oil industry
Knowledge of the sales and marketing programs for soy meal
Knowledge of logistics processes
Knowledge of CBOT
Knowledge of basis trading, exports and hedging
Knowledge of standard software applications
Strong communication, math, analytical and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Maximizes meal trading results to benefit supply chain to Perdue Foods (adherence to operating plan).
Maintains the commercial and trading activities associated with soy meal procurement and merchandising.
Identifies key influencers within assigned geographic area and develop strong and lasting relationships.
Ensures customers and suppliers adhere to contract terms.
Maintains soymeal and hulls crush production sales that add value to crush margins and customer reliability.
Works with International Merchandising to maximize ranking and protect supply chain to all customers on Delmarva.
Develop strategies, tactics, programs and procedures to capitalize on identified opportunities for soy meal
Coordinates logistical requirements to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of soy products.
Provides good inventory management practices and controlled assets.
