This employee is responsible for sales to hospitals, oncology, rehabilitation centers, and referral sources with enteral patient needs. The role encompasses all aspects of enteral nutrition care for home tube-fed patients and other medical nutrition-related activities. The employee will identify and develop new referral sources and is responsible for obtaining a predetermined number of enteral setups from these sources each month. Additionally, the employee will prepare for and participate in vendor fairs, exhibits, and luncheons, and conduct in-service training for referral sources to educate them on the use and application of enteral equipment. The position requires recognizing and respecting patient rights during the provision of care and conducting business relationships ethically. The employee will work in a designated territory performing sales activities, tracking daily sales via Sales Force, promoting Enteral Services to physicians, hospitals, home health, and cancer centers, while maintaining market information through the Sales Force. Monitoring patient responses to care, educating patients about enteral feeding, and providing continuous and coordinated patient care are also key responsibilities. The employee will be responsible for community education regarding medical nutrition services, maintaining a minimum monthly patient admits/census, promoting safe patient environments, and participating in ongoing education to improve individual competence. The role also involves obtaining, utilizing, and updating patient information confidentially, implementing infection control practices, driving to admit, deliver, and pick up enteral supplies, recording sales or delivery information, resolving service complaints, setting up merchandise displays, and communicating with the Enteral Intake Team.
