About The Position

The Sales Professional - Outside Sales position involves working from home to present at-need cemetery and pre-need arrangement services and products to consumers. The role is responsible for achieving monthly sales targets and developing relationships within the community to generate qualified leads. The Sales Professional will follow up on leads generated from marketing campaigns, qualify them, and schedule sales appointments. Additionally, they will follow up with client families for referrals by establishing professional relationships and providing service excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
  • Funeral Directors License where required by state law.
  • Life Insurance license where required by state law; company will support obtaining licensing.
  • Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Sales experience preferred; industry experience a plus.
  • Previous Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems experience a plus.
  • Computer and technology skills.
  • Goal-oriented self-starter.
  • Public speaking ability; comfortable presenting to small groups.
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
  • Ability to work a significant number of evenings and weekends.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for attaining or exceeding monthly sales revenue quota.
  • Presents Dignity Memorial® Personal Planning Guide electronic presentations to consumers.
  • Influences consumers on the benefits of pre-planning for a soft close.
  • Guides and tours prospective families through cemetery grounds or crematory mausoleums.
  • Develops an understanding of each family's unique needs and offers solutions.
  • Completes contracts thoroughly and accurately, following up on outstanding documents.
  • Self-initiates leads throughout the community and professional networks.
  • Prospects at least 50% of workday through various methods.
  • Obtains referrals from families served through after care visits.
  • Schedules sales appointments and prepares marketing materials.
  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with families.
  • Supports families in times of grief with acts of kindness.
  • Collaborates with management and staff to provide high-quality services.

Benefits
