About The Position

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Sales and Production Coordinator to join our team and coordinate the processing of incoming sales orders with plant personnel to maintain production schedules at the Great Plains Ag Division (GP) plants. This role typically works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from the Corporate office in Salina, KS. This is a salaried role and reports to the Great Plains Division Controller.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand the complexities of Great Plains' products and systems.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes to priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of pride and ownership in your work.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain, inventory control, and general manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to adapt and embrace new concepts and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly and seek out information.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain orders as required, based on changes in customer demand, manufacturing schedule changes, or engineering revisions.
  • Review and reconcile each plant's production schedule with the schedule of sales orders in the system, making appropriate changes and communicating the changes to the appropriate plant personnel.
  • Create new stock orders in the system based on direction from management.
  • Enter and manage orders of Kubota-branded products for specialty products (such as hay rakes) submitted by Kubota sales companies.
  • Establish priorities for specific customer orders based on schedule changes or on-ground inventory changes.
  • Confer with purchasing, engineering, planning, and other personnel to exchange information regarding inventories, schedules, and related issues.
  • Maintain the production forecast for wholegoods, options, and accessories.
  • Notify departments to change production priority and sequence as required by production.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sales and production personnel.
  • Provide effective communication between sales and manufacturing departments.
  • Support the GP Division order desk and the Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) process.
  • Actively participate in department continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
