About The Position

The Sales Producer for Marine Insurance is responsible for reviewing quotes and binding marine insurance policies for Global Marine's direct and brokered customers. This position is expected to meet or exceed established sales and audit goals. The role involves quoting, binding, and following up with clients to ensure satisfaction and closure of sales.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of insurance experience required.
  • Property & Casualty license required at the time of application.
  • Proven prior successful sales experience.
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and handle a fast-paced business environment.
  • Flexibility with daily tasks.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Goal-oriented.
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Knowledge of boats and/or the marine industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming requests for quotes to ensure receipt of complete and accurate information.
  • Contact the client or broker if more information is necessary.
  • Determine eligibility for carriers and select the best carrier to quote based on client needs.
  • Enter client and boat information into Navigator and/or carrier-specific systems.
  • Review comparative quote information to determine best coverages and premium for the customer.
  • Prepare quote letters and request any additional documentation.
  • Deliver quotes to customers in a timely and accurate manner per company guidelines.
  • Revise quotes as necessary and explain coverages to customers.
  • Follow up with clients on previously submitted quotes to attempt to close sales.
  • Assist the New Business Producer in obtaining required information after binding but prior to policy issuance.
  • Obtain necessary information to bind coverage and enter it into Navigator and/or the carrier system.
  • Prepare binders and request additional documentation as needed.
  • Communicate payment options to clients and assist with payment processing.
  • Assist with other sales, marketing, or new business initiatives as they arise.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
