About the team The Revenue Operations team is responsible for maximizing yield through supply optimization, driving global ad revenue growth with strategic pricing and packaging, managing global publisher partnerships for ad inventory deals and delivery, and enhancing the efficiency of the ad sales organization by centralizing processes across our data tools and systems. By aligning advertising sales, marketing, product, and client services, the team aims to optimize the monetization of advertising inventory. This involves a blend of strategic planning, data analysis, system and tool utilization, and partnership management. About the role The Sales Planner manages commercial inventory & supports sales goals through the creation of strategic advertising proposals. The Sales Planning team puts forth proposals in alignment of client goals, showcasing the value of the Roku experience. The role is located in the New York office and will report into the Sales Planning Manager based in New York, NY. For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $75,000 and $84,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative Ad Sales team environment
  • A positive attitude when handling day-to-day tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 2-3+ years of professional experience; media sales planning and/or buying experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Salesforce is a plus
  • Proficiency in media math and terminology is a plus
  • Familiarity with OMS tools and the CTV landscape is beneficial
  • Familiarity with the CTV ad-buying ecosystem including programmatic

Responsibilities

  • Create a high volume of RFP-specific proposals using both internal and external templates
  • Collaborate with Sales, AMs, Inventory, and Marketing teams to generate compelling custom ad programs across our product/site portfolios
  • Pull avails, recommend ad placements, and content channels based on client campaign objectives
  • Manage internal communication throughout the plan creation process
  • Ensure that plan due dates are met by effectively managing time and internal deadlines
  • Support dedicated books of business, managing the RFP process from proposal generation to order entry
  • Partner with Sales teams to implement packaging and pricing strategies, as defined by Revenue Operations rate cards and guidelines
  • Execute budget revisions, including incremental spend, optimizations, makegoods, and cancellations
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as Ad Ops, Inventory Analytics, and Marketing, to fulfill client requests and aid Sales in their proposals
  • Work closely with the Ad Ops team to execute campaigns and maximize delivery against contracted goals
  • Assist in the preparation and follow-up for client meetings, as directed by AMs or Sellers, including reviewing industry and account-specific information
  • Identify areas for improvement within the pre-sale process and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency
